The app will be optimized for both smartwatch (quick, on-the-go relief) and mobile (deep tracking and customization), integrating gamification and culturally sensitive design to foster long-term habit formation.
Scope of Work
The 96 Hours Design Challenge
Design a “Mindful Breathing & Stress Management” app for both smartwatch and mobile.
The smartwatch app should allow users to quickly:
Start a breathing exercise (e.g., 1-min / 3-min guided session).
Receive haptic + visual feedback (animations to guide inhale/exhale).
See instant stats after finishing (e.g., duration, heart rate drop, streaks).
The mobile app should allow users to:
View detailed progress (history of sessions, stress levels over time).
Personalize exercises (session length, soundscapes, reminders).
Sync with watch data and provide insights (e.g., stress trends, wellness tips).

Design Brief
Design a cross-platform wellness app—Svastha—that empowers users to manage stress through guided breathing exercises, real-time biofeedback, and personalized insights. The app will be optimized for both smartwatch (quick, on-the-go relief) and mobile (deep tracking and customization), integrating gamification and culturally sensitive design to foster long-term habit formation.
Challenges After Research

Design Process
Following a structured design process not only creates intuitive, enjoyable experiences for users—it also empowers designers to continuously refine and elevate their work.

Information Architecture
Information architecture is the practice of organizing and structuring content in a way that makes it easy for users to find, understand, and navigate digital products.

How it works?
The wearable continuously measures physiological signals such as heart rate, heart-rate variability, and blood oxygen levels. These signals provide real-time insights into how the body is responding to physical and emotional pressure.
Read Sensor Data: Tracks heart rate and blood oxygen.
Calculate Stress: Analyzes data to detect stress levels.
Send Alert: Notifies the user when stress is high.
Take Action: Suggests breathing, meditation, or movement.
